male main character-nya terlalu "intense" menurutku. dan ada beberapa bagian yang terlalu repetitif, aku jadi ngebatin "kan kamu udah bilang ini tadi, mbak. jangan diulang-ulang ah".
tapi, plotnya bikin aku penasaran banget pengen baca buku ini sampai selesai, i even go straight the next book, karena background storynya bikin penasaran.

I know this is only book 1...but Aiden is MUCH more of a bully than Levi ever was in Cruel King!!
Of course I'm addicted to these books already *but* I also want to scream at Elsa. If this was real life this would be SO incredibly toxic (not even including whatever background family drama is happening here) and Aiden screams "abuser." I want to slap Elsa on the side of her head!
Anyhow...Elsa lives with her aunt and uncle but for *some* reason we haven't yet learned, has no knowledge of certain parts of herself when she was younger. Obviously it was tragic but she doesn't remember. Meanwhile she starts attending an elite school and Aiden has made it his mission to destroy her - and she has no idea why. Kim is her only friend and Elsa has decided to be strong and do her best to ignore Aiden and what he does so she can focus on her future college dreams.
Now it's her senior year and she just wants to get through it. Unfortunately, Aiden won't leave her alone. Kim has made changes to herself over the summer and Elsa can't figure out what the secrets are that Kim is hiding. Elsa realizes she - for whatever reason - is drawn to and LIKES the broody/borderline abusive jerk...and there's a cliffhanger!
