The saga continues. Although the author is clear that the books are not a simple continuation of the one into the other, but rather alteration of the same basi story, it’s nice to see how the history unfolds over time. As with all sci-fi it’s nice to see how sometime reality has overcome completely the imagination of authors (no trace of internet here...). But the imagination of the existence of this receded civilization so ancient to thrive across the universe is fascinating.

The 2001 connection is meaningless and this techo thriller would have been better without it. Not a good episode in the series.

Pretty much just filler before 3001 hopefully ties things up nicely.

Clarke once again proves he was an amazing writer, at least in my opinion.

Another amazing installment. This one ends a bit abruptly, thus the knock of one measly star. Still worth a read and still cementing in my mind that Clarke was meant to be my gateway into the larger science fiction world. The Odyssey still occupies most of my thoughts when I step away for a while, and I don't expect that to change for a while. On to the final Odyssey!
