Well I had a hard time with this one. The hype was there, and it had some good reviews, but I am not sure where they came from and I am absolutely not sure why I didn't DNF this thing.
I should have known how cheesy this book would be in the first few chapters of "Operation Emotion". I kept holding out for at least something, surely with the reviews it got that would come. But nothing ever really came.
It felt like the author was trying to take all the romance tropes and push them into a single book, like throwing spagetti up against a wall and never really getting any to stick. There was no character build up, no sexual tension between the main characters, a really bad try at snarky banter, twists that were revealed in one or two paragraphs with no buildup or explanation and they totally bombed of course, and come on the H gets up and sings a love song to her in front of a crowd and two paragraphs later pushes the h against the wall and......like he's some alpha male, no!
This felt like a hallmark card with a hallowween costume on so it could get into other reading categories. If you like fluffy, simple, not too interesting or intriguing romance reads you will like this. If not I wouldn't recommend. 2 stars.

Now before I get into the review, you know how some book plots live up to their titles? Well...... THIS IS THE MOST ACCURATE IT HAVE EVER COME ACROSS.

When Ava's elder brother Josh decides to volunteer in Central America, he leaves the responsibility of taking care of his house and his sister Ava to his ruthless billionaire of a best friend Alex Volkov.
Individually, both characters have a very strong and stellar storyline which makes the whole plot of the book absolutely amazing. It's well written and covering all the supporting characters plots as well and giving them equal screen time (?)
The humour, the action, the banter and the spice is off the charts and I have to say this was one of my favourite reads for this year.

i really wanted a good old wattpad brother best friend book and this was it but still not what i wanted
i liked some of the stuff in here but alex is so toxic at the end it kinda ruined it for me. plus all the unfinished business with josh made it worse (i know there’s his book too) but having him gone from almost all book took out from the brother’s best friend narrative unfortunately and that’s what i most wanted
i liked the friendship group in here tho! can’t wait to read about Bridget’s story.
the bodyguard trope is a classic too!
