there were too many moments where I thought "this doesn't make any sense given the author's story so far" and it kept being like that until the end. I feel like there were too many tropes trying to be built and/or used at once, and none was fully delivered.
The story was easy to read, but very confusing and quite unimaginative.

I really enjoyed the audio; the narrators were fantastic! This was my first experience with Ana's writing, and I loved her style. Ava had me laughing out loud the entire time, while Alex was quite the grumpy character. The dual perspectives added a nice touch and kept things engaging. I was totally surprised by the twists at the end—what a ride!
