This book surprised me, and I have mixed feelings about it. But, in the end, it is the kind of book that made me feel and that I will think about for a long time, and for that, it deserves five stars. Ove is not a likable character, but he is, in his own way, a lovable character. Something about the author's writing style captivated me, for reasons I can't quite define, as did the depictions of life, love, and grief. This is definitely a book worth reading.
