the ending with Uldis and Hanna facing a life or death decision on Uldis’ part and the tense in the atmosphere for Hanna when facing the fact that he could pull the trigger at any moment gave me goosebumps!

I was absolutely sobbing by the end of it - I've also learnt a lot about Eastern Europe during Nazi occupation and about the terrors that occurred there.

This book is a jaw dropping! I read it in two days and the end was devastating. Hanna faith glides her from what is really happening around her in a bad way. Only ate the end she realises what going to happen and that it is to late ⏰.
