This was the first batman comic ive read in a LONG while, I'm not sure how I feel about the joker origin concept in general; but regardless it was heart-wrenchingly good and I couldn't put it down until I'd finished it. I love the Joker's song about going loo-oo-oony; it cracked me up!
I had heard of this graphic novel for years. I knew some of the story aahs how it fit in with some versions of the DC universe. This was the first time I'd read the novel however...
First off, this is dark. I head expected build-up for the headline events. Instead, it starts right off.
The story starts with Batman visiting the Joker in Arkham. The story has a version of Joker's origin built-in... though even in the story it may be apocryphal. Commissioner Gordon & his daughter both face the worst of the joker and come off the worse for it (actually wonder at the PTSD Gordon especially would face).
On the whole, it is a good story... powerful in some ways but I feel like there was more that could have been done were it a bit longer that might have made it feel more complete.
Still, a must-read for mature DC fans.

If you ever wondered about Batman and Joker's relationship, this is the book to read. Can they live without each other? Can both exist? One day, one will kill another, one day.
Does Batman has to follow the book? How twisted can Joker be? How cruel?
Find it out, read it.
Now about the graphic novel itself - Love love love the art. Beautiful dialogues. Well, basically one of the best graphic novels out there.

Bueno, supongo que en su momento debió ser algo increíble, pero no me parece que está a la altura de otras cosas que ha escrito Alan Moore.

There is probably a worthwile debate if the Joker really should have a backstory. However that doesn't change the fact that this is a nice insight/interpretation of this character. And also the illustrations are amazing!!!!!
Its not a bad story. It’s just not as great as I was led to believe.
I know it’s kinda THE Joker origin story. But really I don’t think it’s a very good origin story & I don’t think I really need Joker origin story. imho.
(I agree with the artist, Bolland, I wouldn’t reveil the Joker’s origin. Ambiguity is far more powerful. Something I probably wouldn’t know without reading this book.)
I don’t think it was good going in all hyped up, “One of Best Batman Stories” PLUS it being Alan Moore, the let down was harder.
I mean I really do like Moore’s other works, that I’ve read. The Killing Joke seems like child’s play compared to his other works.
“An Innocent Guy” was okay.
