I went into this book blind and I don’t know if it’s just the kindle version I had but there were no trigger warnings whatsoever and I really feel this book needs them! It was kinda jarring not having this context first. I didn’t really get invested until the last 20% of this - it was good, really rich world building etc. but there was just something lacking for me.

i started this book and then got distracted from it for a while, but when i came back to it i’m so glad i did! as a six of crows lover i know bardugo can do twists and turns like no other, and she definitely did not disappoint. some fantastic dark academia with a supernatural twist to chew on, i’ll definitely be ready the sequel. lost a little bit of a star because of a bit of a slow start (and a little too much focus on the geography of new haven before we, as the readers, really know enough to care), but once it picked up i couldn’t put it down!
