When one of my favorite authors decides to test the waters of new sub-genre, I am all in. The fact that that sub-genre is dystopian romance, just makes it all the more alluring. And Keri didn't just test the water by taking a tentative step into the shallows, she cliff dived right into its murky depths.
Juniper Unraveling is raw, real and a powerful tale driven by fear, desperation with smallest glimmer of hope in a world where there isn't any. I was gripped by the jugular from the very first chapter. Keri pulls no punches in this story, so if you're the squeamish kind that needs more light than dark you need to look else where. Our main characters must endure the unimaginable and find a reason to keep living, to keep trying when there is every reason to just give up. They not only fight the evil all around them, they must also fight the evil that lives within.
Juniper Unraveling is an emotional raw and at times, difficult to read. But it's also very relevant. I couldn't help but draw parallels from this world to the one we live in today. It's a sad revelation, when a world driven by division, fear and hate doesn't seem all that far fetch. This was definitely a story that gave me much to ponder and evaluate.
Keri did a wonderful job drawing me right into her world as she ripped emotion after emotion from me. I sincerely hope she continues her journey in this world.

DNF made it about 6 chapters in. Not feeling the pull. The story sounds good, so I give neutral rating saying it may just be me. I've leaned towards horror, psycho thriller, and post apocalyptic more in the last year, and this feels more dystopian.
Seriously loving all of Keri's books I have read so far and this one was a great one too. At first I was a little confused on the characters and how they were going to tie in together but eventually you figure it out once it is explained and it all made sense. Definitely a great zombie-feel dystopia book and I felt like I was in the story as I read it with such great details. I felt like I Could picture what a Rager looked like. I loved Wren and Six and couldnt wait to see what was going to happen in the end with the both of them. I loved their connection and relationship together. Also this book definitely makes me look at monsters a whole different way now! Looking forward to Book 2.
I absolutely loved this story. Real and raw and I'm just disappointed that I didn't pick it up sooner! I'm so glad that this is a series and I get to walk in this world for a little bit longer! 5+ STARS
Wow. I have no words. I’m not one for dystopia but... this was a masterpiece.

"When the world is at it's darkest, somehow love still carries the light."
This was a gripping tale of two individuals who found solace in a world that knows no hope.
I wasn't prepared for the emotional toll that this series took on me, but I'm grateful that I started this blindly. I highly recommend just jumping in- unless you aren't a fan of post-apocalyptic survival stories.. However, I would still consider reading all of these regardless if it seems a bit out of your comfort zone.
The story itself is captivating- Keri Lake created a destitute and morally corrupt world so vivid that I hardly believe it's fictional. I can't say much without giving away important plot elements, but my goodness.. this is one of those series that you can get utterly lost in.
Each book got better and better for me ([b:God of Monsters|55423884|God of Monsters (Juniper Unraveling #4)|Keri Lake|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1600747531l/55423884._SX50_.jpg|73870580] being my absolute favorite), but it was hard to believe they could be topped while immersed in each story. Seriously, I can't speak highly enough of this series. It has the perfect amount of action, character development, steam, and world building. Magnificent.
