Content warning: fatphobia, ableism

Every time I think that Judith is not as annoying as before, she does something that makes me annoyed again. I really don't like her blatant disregard for federal laws *cough opening other people's mail cough*.

Insanely fatphobic and the ending makes zero sense. It seems the author has never known or seen a fat person ever. For the person as young as the killer to need a mobility scooter he’d have to weigh over 400lbs. Then to just lose that weight in the span of a year? After being fat his entire adult life? And the characters can’t tell that he’s just stuffing padding in his clothes? And it’s unnoticeable from the neck up except for looking more ~youthful~? All of this to kill a nice, well-loved guy, only to blame another person for it? Yikes. I loved the first two in this series but I will not be reading anything else from this author. The way he wrote about fat people was appalling and dehumanizing.  Disappointing.

I loved the first two books in this series, but this book was so appallingly fatphobic that I won’t read any more books by this author.
