lighthearted mysterious

Silly and clichéd, like an episode of a mediocre British crime show where amateur sleuths barge in to help a clueless police force. The main characters, clearly intended to be lovable oddballs, come across as smug, judgemental, and downright annoying. We're told they're smart and clever, yet they don't really act like it. The narration drags, and the so-called "banter" between characters feels forced and unfunny.

I read this book not knowing that it would be the best out of the whole collection and I really enjoyed this book and found it easy to get into and finish. I recommend this book.

I actually read Book 4 before this one, and I have to say—I enjoyed this one so much more! I loved all the characters, and the cozy mysteries were just perfect, albeit it might feel a bit draggy at times.
