If you're looking for a BL or just a romance in general I think this one is pretty good. While it is similar to alot of romance comics I've read, it has it's own charm. It's not mindblowing, but it's good for it's concept. It is one of those will they won't they, so keep that in mind.
Art: Nothing too special, it's a bit limited with it's composition. The style is easy on the eyes and clean. The backgrounds are pretty good, so everything seems lived in. The character designs are alright, in Japanese romance comics the designs tend to be simple or tropey. Here I think the side characters are better designed that the leads. I think the designs work well for their simplicity. Yamato at first glance looks very cookie-cutter, but his design works for his personality. There's also some good shading and the expressions are alright.
6/10 for the art.
Characters: They do their job of being quickly likeable and one you would root for. Kakeru is a bit of a loveable looser I guess? I think he's a good enough lead, he doesn't have too much going on with him, but the romance arc is done well with him. Yamato the second lead is pretty good, he's not just a blank slate, he has a bit of depth to him, besides "pretty boy". Like for once he has a job, that's a really simple detail, but I like it. It shows the characters have a life. I liked both leads.
Story: I quite liked the story, it was a really cozy read for me. I don't really know how to describe it it's just very slice of lifey story. And I like how the romance is tackled from both aspects. It's nothing too crazy, but yes it is good. I'd reccomend it.

Highschool romance! "No matter how much time we spend together, I'll never be special to you"
Great start to the series. Kakeru character is so cute - reminds me of a cute hyperactive puppy!
Yamato his childhood friend is crushing on him and doesn't believe his feelings towards Kakeru will ever be returned.
Yamato's character is good looking but is quiet. People don't always know how to approach him. Even Kakeru friends aren't sure how they are friends as they are polar opposites.
Beautiful drawings and lots of subtle hints that Kakeru likes Yamato as well but doesn't think it is possible - so has completely disregarded it.
End of the volume shows the start of Yamato saying he wouldn't like Kakeru to be in a relationship.
