This was a short and very, very sweet novella.

There wasn't a whole lot of plot - Nick and Charlie are together, but Charlie has one year of school left and Nick is off to university, Charlie worries about whether their relationship will survive long-distance - but to be honest, there didn't need to be (although it would have been nice!)

The main message I took from Nick and Charlie was that a romantic relationship doesn't always need to be full of excitement and drama to be worthwhile. Sure, some couples might enjoy going skydiving or bungee jumping, but that couple who stay home and watch TV or browse the Internet is just as valid. Different strokes for different folks, as they say.

Also, I loved Nick and Charlie's
getting-back-together date and I need to know where that beach is
.

A lovely, heartwarming read.

"Exactly. Two idiots in love. Couple goals."

Nick and Charlie is a Heartstopper novella that has been on my radar for quite some time. Heartstopper is one of my favorite graphic novels and I always planned to read the novellas related to the graphic novel. And when I saw this one in my bookstore, I couldn't resist. And I really liked it. It's a bittersweet story about the excitement of going to college but also the fear of leaving. It's a good addition to the series, with a good structure, an interesting plot, and the loveable characters that we know and love. It's also super short, so it's pretty easy to read.
I really recommend this novella and the main graphic novel.

i loved this book and read it within a few hours. the text size and word space was incredibly dyslexic friendly lol. short chapters (maybe too short), simple read, big words, spacious throughout the page, drawings every so often.

definitely a comfort book and for that i’d give it ⭐️5, but writing wise i don’t think it was the best of alice’s work, that doesn’t mean i didn’t like the book, i did. a lot.
i think its because the book is more of an extra happy sappy book, more like a diary than first person?
spoken to you rather than described

i would still highly recommend reading it if you watched the netflix show or have read alice’s other books!!!
