It was cool from a historical standpoint but it was a lot at points and not at all the light read I was expecting
I love this series, and this tale of Florida history is gorgeous. I adored Lovely’s family saga.

I found this book to be predictable and boring. Which surprised me after all the hype I’ve heard over John Grisham. I would call it a story… not a thriller, not a mystery. Just informative, slightly interesting, and very predictable. I don’t recommend wasting your time reading this.
“You mentioned the greatest story of all time.”
“I’m not afraid of ghosts and spirits and legends and stuff like that.”
“Dark Isle belongs to my people, to my family, to me. I was the only one left. If I didn’t go take care of things, or at least try to, there was nobody else.”
As a huge fan of both John Grisham and his Camino Island series, I was excited to read the third installment called Camino Ghosts. I definitely went in fresh for this book, meaning I didn’t read any blurbs or reviews and had no clue what it was about. I ended up devouring the pages and loving the story that Grisham presented. It was fun to see the recurring characters back (Mercer, Bruce) as well as the new ones and I enjoyed the story within a story aspect. The legal parts were interesting and I thought Grisham did a great job on the ending and wrapping things up. Hopefully there will be more Camino Island books in the future.
