This book is very much not like the first two in the Camino stories. It utilizes the characters but in a totally new way. It is a very good story though.

I absolutely loved this book. I will need to read the first two books in the series. While celebrating her wedding on Camino Island, popular bookseller Bruce Cable tells Mercer Mann the story of Dark Isle's last living inhabitant, Lovely Jackson. A resort developer is currently trying to take ownership of the island. Throughout the book, you get wonderfully rich details about Lovely Jackson's ancestors and their terrible ordeal. Mercer decides to write a book based on Lovely's story, and she does so without exploiting her. It was thrilling, and I loved that Lovely could voice her opinion throughout the whole process. It resulted in a wonderfully exciting trial and book!! I definitely recommend this book.

it was good, not my fav. the first part dragged. I hated how the chapters were broken up, only like 10 chapters but each chapter was broken into at least 10 parts, some only about a paragraph long
