Did I love this book? No. I would say liking this book is a slight stretch. There were redeeming moments that pushed this to a 3 star rather than 2 star read. Will I continue to read this series? Yes. The pacing was off throughout the whole book. It felt very rushed but also like nothing was happening. I remember thinking that I’m already 30% in and there wasn’t a lot of pining or exploring their feelings for each other individually. I also found a lot of the book and descriptors very repetitive. Like yes I get it Apollo likes Cassandra and thinks she’s so hot and struggles to look away when she wears pencil skirts around the office. For this to be a boss x employee romance, I was hoping for more pining and denial of feelings or close calls and encounters that turn into nothing. I get that the point of this book is for Casandra to be concerned about the week-long party they are at and what that means for those invited and for no one to listen to her.. But it still felt a little unbelievable that this many of the highest ruling order would go to this sketchy ass party wanting to learn more info but not caring that something is clearly afoot. Perhaps the point is to show how untouchable they felt but what about Apollo then? Cassandra notices that there is no security like whatsoever at what point. Is Apollo not concerned about this?? Again the pacing felt very off throughout the entire book with little happening and then the rest of the book being rushed through. I wish we would have gotten a little more depth of Cassandra's character at the end when she has to make a decision to stay or go. It was fun but deffo not one of my favs in the series.
A little slow starting and definitely not my favorite in the series thus far. The relationship seemed like it went from non-existent to a high speeding train. I’m still interested to see how the series develops, though!

Dang. The amount of drama that is unfolding in this series is wild. I can’t wait to see what unfolds with the next featured couple. Like, wow. Katee Robert mixes spiced romance, Greek mythology, and modern day issues together so well. ❤️

okay so 4.5 it was a 5 just because of a character flaw of cassandra the fmc but kept me on my TOESSS
This was a quick listen and a decent story in the Dark Olympus world. I wasn’t as invested in the couple this round, but I’m glad to know how things are moving with the 13. Radiant Sin certainly sets up the rest of the series for higher stakes with the public knowing what was dropped at the end
