I really like the Dark Olympus series, but something about this one didn't quite hit for me. I wish we had slightly more character development and a little more angst between the love interests. Additionally, this one was the most "political" of the series so far. Political in the sense of Olympus politics/scheming - which tends to not be my favorite.

All that being said, I do like the concept of where the overall story is taking us and I will absolutely be continuing on with this series!

Cassandra and Apollo

Workplace romance, thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a basic one where the tension was high and it took them forever to get with each other. Yes, the sexual tension was there, but the plot made it more interesting. They wanted each other for a very long time, so it made the book pretty fast-paced. The plot was great, it was giving murder mystery party LOL

I have a love-hate relationship with this series. I can't exactly put into words what I don't enjoy, and with every book I always think "meh, this will be the last one of the series I read", but then I always get hooked into the next one for one reason or another. There are certainly things I like, and I know this series is well loved by many and rightfully so, it's just missing something for my tastes. 

I do wish they had gone with different narrators for the later books and had done it in duet. Don't get me wrong, the current narrators are pretty good, but since they've narrated every book the characters feel less unique and more indistinguishable. And I hate to say it, but the male narrators female impression is a bit off putting

This series is definitely starting to grow on me.
I love mythology, and I love mythology with a modern twist.
The back story of Olympus being under attack is really starting to get going and we saw big strides in this book.
Excited to see what will come next,
