Damn it all. I loved and hated Erik. He was such a prick. There were so many times I wanted to throw my kindle across the room. He finally and fortunately for him, redeemed himself. Loved Piper. She was strong and amaze balls. She loved Erik even when he didn't love himself. Did I mention Phillip plays a hugh roll in this book, he is Erik's best friend after all. Can't freaking wait for his book!

OMG!!! Toni has done it again. A wonderful book, but a tear jerker. I always liked Piper in the past books, but thought of her as a lost soul, never being able to find her place in the world. In this book she finds her purpose, helping Erik find his soul. What a beautiful soul he is, surviving extreme tragedy and learning to love. The book might have had Piper and Erik as the main characters, but the author did not neglect the characters that we have loved from past books. As in the real world, much went on with supporting charters, both good and bad. Blue Lines was a wonderful read, leaving me wanting more from the hockey team and their families. I can't wait for the next.

If you don't have time to sit down and read this story you just need to get the Audio book. AMAZING!!!!! (5-31-2019)

These books.

I haven't hardly touched any books this year. From reading over 80 books last year, to having finished 2 this year and it's the middle of May. I picked this one up this afternoon and never put it down. Toni Aleo has magic in her fingertips.

This series might be my favorite romance series of all time. Yep. I just went there.

If you haven't picked up this series, please do yourself a favor and DO IT! Like, right now.

This series reread did not go as I thought it would. I hated half the characters and as the series progressed, some characters I previously liked changed and became unlikeable. Unlike the first 3 books, this time I couldn't stand the mmc. Erik was honestly such a gross, immature person and I felt like his redemption was so forced and sudden. Overall, I really like Piper, but at times she was a doormat, which was confusing because she was so strong most of the time. I really wish my opinion of these books from 10 years ago had stayed true, but alas it didn't.

I have read other stories in the Assassin's series, and I wanted this one to be so much more. I had a hard time understanding what Piper saw in Erik, which in turn made me struggle with the whole book.

This series keeps getting better and better the more that I read. I adored everything about Piper and Erik's relationship (even though it was stop and go sometimes.)

Piper was such a strong character that I loved her from the start. I loved how she didn't put up with Erik's crap either. She called him out every time he started building up his walls and that is exactly what he needed in a woman.

Erik was super sexy but sometimes he could be down and out mean to poor Piper but it made the story to see each other struggle with his demons.

It was great to experience how their fake marriage blossomed in the end into true love that allowed Erik to trust in Piper and himself.

I think I just have to put Toni Aleo down as someone who doesn't work for me. I couldn't even bother with the sex scenes; it all felt very meh.
