I actually really liked this one - classic Hilderbrand. Sometimes that leaves me cold, and at first these characters were pretty unlikable. But of course there's the great setting (Nantucket is pretty even if it is crazy expensive and snooty), her great food descriptions, the plot twists. Sadly, I did not wait till summer to read this because it's a true beach read.

Obviously, I love Elin Hildebrand but I wasn’t expecting to love this book so much because I hadn’t heard much about it. I’m so happy I chose to read it and I think anyone with a sister should read this book!

I think I have an issue with the way Elin seems to pass judgement on her characters. They are always flawed in kind of a over the top way. All of the women in this book wouldn't be people I would want to be around. Still, I can't help but enjoy the descriptions of Nantucket and the Cape in general. Glad that the sisters made up in the end.
I've loved everything I've read by Elin Hilderbrand, and her newest was no exception! I wish there had been a little more closure at the end, but I guess it just leaves it open for interpretation.
I rarely give a book one star. The story of this one is fine. Typical beachy read. I’m giving it one star because towards the end of the book there is a scene where one twin sister tries to trick the other twins love interest into sleeping with her by pretending to be the twin. While they don’t actually have sex, they do engage in sexual contact. This is pretty much glanced over, never recognized as inappropriate , and no mention that this is absolutely sexual assault. I can’t in good conscience recommend a book that portrays sexual assault in this manner.
A great beach read. I loved the difficult relationship and sometimes hilarious differences between the twin main characters. Families are complicated in this one, but it makes the story that much more realistic. This is my first Hilderbrand read and I'm sure it won't be my last!
