It took me a while to get going, but I always love novels with story lines that are told from different perspectives. Sweet, somewhat superficial, but a good read.

Written in present tense with occasional 4th wall breakthroughs. Ugh. Most of the [spoiled, rich, white*] characters are unlikable, make poor decisions, and then there's a sugary happily ever after. My one star is for the dog.

There're also lots of lists of food and what restaurant they come from, descriptions of roads I don't care about, and lists of designer labels. (Do authors get paid to mention DVF or whatever designer? Regardless, it cheapens the book.) The book read like a travel brochure. Just say they ate lobster rolls or went to so-and-so's house and get on with the story.

I was shocked to see that the first life changing rift happened when the twins were *seventeen* and had their rock/paper/scissors moment. This was a huge deal supposedly but they were 17, so almost adults, just about to go off to college. From the way it was written as so so traumatic, I thought they were like 12 or something.

*I'm white. I've never seen navel gazing like these folks.

another nantucket novel! more fun than most.

To be fair... The writing itself was not bad. This is just not my favorite genre. It's basically a soap opera, which others may love, but I do not.

Another great summer book from Elin Hilderbrand! I loved the twist of the two islands with the two sisters - a modern take on the Parent Trap. I loved the ending and hope there is a sequel in the works? I think there is more to be explored with Tabitha amd Harper.

I was so intrigued with how estranged the twins were in contrast to how each one was a piece to the other ones puzzle. Elin brings characters to life, so real and vibrant.

This is a great read. Fast. Unbelievable events and characters made so believable by exquisite writing. Fun, frolicking. Enjoy!!!

So boring, mediocre writing. Don’t care for the third person narrative at the start of some of the chapters.
