I never give beach reads a 5 (on principle, the depth is just not there because of the genre's nature... not to knock them, because I love them), but this was right up there. I found the mix of narrators and characters to all be likable and the story to nicely move along. It kept me interested and I found myself wishing for a sequel at the end!
This was my first Elin Hildebrand, and I will definitely be reading more of her books. This is right up there with Kristin Hannah of favorite regular authors for me.

Typical chick lit but that’s what I was in the mood for and it was entertaining. I also enjoyed the backdrop of Nantucket is. And Martha’s vineyard. I’d love to vacation there someday.

Cute! Reminds me of Liane Moriarty’s writing a lot. I felt like the ending was a little rushed but I enjoyed it nonetheless
One of the more interesting and dynamic “beach reads” I’ve picked up in a while. I really loved how complex the characters were. Not often do I read a book and find myself simultaneously both hating and loving the same characters. The settings of Martha’s Vineyard, Nantucket, and Boston were enough to make me want to visit...a soon!
I was debating whether to give this 3 or 4 stars but I loved the epilogue from the dog’s perspective so much so 4 it is! This was kind of a grown up version of the parent trap and I loved it! I was a bit disappointed with the simplicity of the end though, which is what had me considering the 3 star rating. Hilderbrand’s books are always interesting and fun and this one didn’t disappoint.
