this is a good place to start learning tarot, but by no means should it be your only reference. take everything with a grain of salt. pollack's entries on the major arcana have lots of insight, but she also has a weird cisnormative obsession with sex/gender.

This is the first tarot book I read from start to finish and, oh god, it was so good. The way the author manages to speak to both experienced practitioners as well as begginers in the occult is mind blowing. Super informative, well-written, and clear without losing depth. I feel like I finally learned how to read the tarot for myself!
