I need more of these books but there were also some Aggravating Aspects to how it played out.

Tess may be a pro at fixing the problems of the children of Washington, D.C.’s political elite. But the most recent case her guardian Ivy has taken on may be bringing the intrigue closer to home than either of them ever thought possible.

Sequels face a challenge – especially when the first book is down-right amazing and keeps the pages flipping frantically. And this sequel met the challenge. It was another page turner and another keep-me-up-to-the-wee-hours story. Tess once again pulled me into the drama and her relationship with Ivy continues to complicate just about every aspect of her life.

Lots to love in this one. And dare I hope that there will be a third book?? With that ending it is possible!

What I love about Jennifer Lynn Barnes books is that while the premises would never happen in real life, she makes it seem as though it's surreal but completely possible. This one was no exception, though I personally thought the ending fell short.

This book was amazing. There were a lot of unexpected events once again and the truths we find out, I honestly don't think anyone saw them coming like maybe one or two but not all of them. I start to love William Keyes and I just feel sad for Henry and Tess's friendship or whatever it is that they have and I'm hoping there's another book and so on cause these are amazing. The reason why I give it four stars is because I wasn't that hooked, but when secrets started revealing I stayed along for the ride. I really do love this series, you are a great author Jennifer and I hope you continue this story and hopefully soon.

I adore the way the relationships are in this book and just how realistic they feel.

The series was so good I read both books in a day. Tragic there aren’t more.
