Not enjoying it

Well written overall (ghost writer, maybe?), and I enjoyed the author’s reading of the audiobook. I think this story is heartbreaking. True or not, or despite other family members thoughts or experiences, no one deserves to be harassed or manipulated like this, no matter how famous.

The first half of this book I REALLY had to push through, but the more I learned about Prince Harry, the more intrigued I was to read more. The grief he dealt with from his mother's death was heartwrenching. I loved learning about his sensitive nature, his mental health journey, his love story with Meg, and the cracks in the royal family. Completely baffled at how the media and his own family treated him. Now that i've read this, I want to go down the Royals rabbit hole haha.

I'm not really sure how to review this book. I feel conflicted because I don't think Prince Harry should've shared his opinion so publicly without consulting other members of the Royal Family. Yet, I think it was necessary for him to do so because he felt trapped and believed nobody was listening to him. I think listening to Prince Harry narrating his memoirs definitely added to the pathos the text made me feel for him and Meghan. He has clearly been affected by his past (understandably so) and often felt misunderstood. We'll never know if the contents of this book are true but the way he describes the press is how they've always acted and continue to act...disrespectful and intrusive. I don't really know if one can say the entirety of this book is true but at the end of the day Prince Harry is speaking his truth. He feels let down. I really hope his relationship with the Royal Family is mended soon.

Wow. Well written. Quite disturbing.

Absolutely bizarre but also I couldn't put it down. You can visibly see the difference between Harry's words and the more notably edited chapters but regardless it's a fascinating insight into a dying monarchy & the trappings of the system

Biographies always have a way of humanizing people. I’m glad that Harry got to tell his side of the story.
