Finally I sat down to read this Victorian gothic classic piece of literature.
The book was published in 1886, so of course, navigating through its English was perilous at time, especially when this is not your first language, but I really appreciated the moral of the story. How duality was shown throughout the book, and how in the end there is not a perfect solution to curing this complex aspect of human nature.

I liked this book. Quick to the point, you are instantly drawn in to the dual personality of Dr.Jekyll. Knowing most if the story going into it, it was the details I find most interesting. Does evil really always over power the good? I don't think so.

meh. Jekyll was taking the potion of straight evil and buffoonery. I get that this was a commentary on the “duality of man” and morality/ good vs evil as a whole, but personally if I was Jekyll I would’ve just been better, and also maybe stop w the nefarious elixir and just owned up to being a crazy weirdo. I just think it’s pussy shit to want to be evil so bad but keep your nice-guy reputation, so like I just don’t get it.
