This wasn’t as good as the first book in the series. It felt like not much happened (was the trial really the main plot of the book??) and then the last scene/events felt very rushed and not as emotional as it should have been for a central character dying. Still enjoyable and a perfect easy holiday read.

This is a 3 star book for me. I liked it, I was excited to have plots wrap up and to see what was up with that ending to Of Poseidon. And I got that.... sort of. When I finished Of Triton, I thought to myself 'okay, not exactly what I thought it would be, but a good solid ending to this series'. And then I went online and actually had to do a double take because, THERE'S A THIRD BOOK?

Forgiving this book of it's issues (pages upon pages of strange decisions and thought processes from the main character that contradict what came just a paragraph before, a strange relationship that picked up after years as if nothing had happened and the characters hadn't in fact moved on in any way, yet again little mention of the horrifying opening to the first book and how that has affected Emma (apparently not at all?), and worst of the death of a great character that felt really random and completely unnecessary to the plot or continuation of this series) I still thought it was a good ending point. Hmmm.

I'll probably read Of Neptune even with my reservations about it. Partly because the series is, to me, a good time filler, partly because I like fish, and partly because I am curious about what can she can possibly come up with for a plot for ANOTHER book.

I definitely liked this book better than the first one. Emma didn't annoy me nearly as much and the plot moved a lot quicker. The main complaint I have is that the book was very short! It did have a nice, neat ending but I know there is another book planned... I am curious where they will go with the story and I hope it isn't too heavily centered on Galen and Emma's emotional/relationship angst!

I was already halfway through this book and put it down a while ago. not because I didn't like it, but I ended up in a reading slump and nothing was good enough for me back then. I just felt like today is the day to finish the book, so I did. And I really liked being back in this world and this story line. Can't wait to see how the story will end in the third installment!!

Incluso a Nalia (a quien sigo odiando a muerte), he conseguido entenderla.
