Overall a decent story. Honestly kinda slow and took me a long time to read.

This one was a bit better than the first boon in this duology, I was not as lost, but it is still a slow burn. It did make more sense and the story was good, but I just did not feel like this book was for me. I did not DNF as it was the last book of this duology, and I listened to it so I did not waste time by flipping pages. The ending was better, but I could not get over the beginning being so slow like the first book.
Would I recommend it? Now having listened to both, probably not this series. Maybe to a very young mature teenager, I know this is a fantasy young adult, and I do enjoy that genre, but I think maybe this was just too young for me to enjoy.

Un bel continua e finale, l'ho divorato in due giorni!
Non posso parlare molto della trama, ma la storia riprende più o meno nel momento in cui si interrompe il volume precedente.
Mi è piaciuto come le cose si sono evolute e concluse, anche se ho sentito come se qualche questione non fosse stata spiegata al meglio e alcune domande lasciate senza risposta.
I personaggi sono stati la mia parte preferita, perché mi sono piaciuti moltissimo, soprattutto i due protagonisti. Però devo dire che anche i personaggi secondari sono costruiti molto bene e li ho apprezzati tutti (tranne un paio in realtà hahahahha)
Non do un rating più alto perchè il libro per quanto mi abbia intrattenuto e per quanto l'abbia trovato piacevole e divertente, non mi ha lasciato niente di che. Alla fine sono volata tra le pagine senza quasi accorgermene e a storia finita ho sentito un senso di incompletezza.
Però questa penso sia una cosa molto personale, consiglio comunque questa duologia perchè è molto particolare ed originale, con un world building molto interessante e personaggi umani e reali. Si uniscono azione, viaggi interplanetari e scoperta di nuovi mondi con storie d'amore (tra cui una a tema LGBT+ che in realtà speravo venisse raccontata di più) e storie di famiglia e di amicizia.
Infatti sottolineo il fatto che c'è un forte discorso riguardo la famiglia, l'identità personale e come le due cose siano legate. Quanto l'appartenere ad una famiglia o un popolo influenzi ciò che sei.
Bellissimi anche il tema della perdita, del dolore di come fare pace e perdonare se stessi e gli altri.

The growth of the characters are exceptional and the book's highlight is the growth of friendship rather than the relationship of the main characters. Amongst all that; alliances shift, assassinations are planned and everyone has their own agendas.
Cyra finally finds out the power she holds- As a Noavek heir and her current gift and Akos finds himself centered and defined by one goal.
The ending is bittersweet and is narrated in the most perfect way encompassing and end to individual characters stories.
All in all, this duology was a 4- star rating.

Half of these new characters aren’t even likable, particularly the chancellor. The whole plot of the last book felt stupid with the big bad being killed by an unlikable character in the beginning of the book. Why am I supposed to care about her grief? I don’t know her! And both main characters had more of a reason to get their revenge!
I'd give this 5 stars on the narration alone.
