It's not easy to enjoy this book to its fullest when you don't grow found of Gianna. There's a thing called being independent and another called being selfish. I completely understand her distaste for the life she grew into but putting her family, especially Aria, in danger was such a big no for me. Mostly because she didn't even give an opportunity to Matteo.
When Aria helped her, I was just so upset and the entire time Gianna was in Europe was infuriating because you just know she isn't cut off to a "normal" life and she knew it too. And she continued to annoy me throughout the entire book...
The main reason I enjoyed this book was because of Matteo. The way he talked and acted regarding Gianna was really so interesting to see... He never truly tried to hide his feelings for her and so far the other books hadn't shown that. Plus, he is just so hilarious.
The bonus part of this book is that it finally has a dual pov!
I initially scored this 2,5⭐️ but I changed it to 3⭐️ because of Matteo.

Matteo & Gianna

Read this if you want to take a break from good books with a trashy read and also want to be frustrated with how bad it is.

Terrible! Writing was painful, FMC was intolerable, and the plot was either nonexistent or microscopic. I wanted to DNF so bad but finished out of pure spite just to be able to say that I gave it a fair chance to somehow impossibly get better (hint: it didn't)

Back at it with the shitty erotica - I will admit, at least this one displayed some level of plot that has been clearly outlined and is semi-interesting. HOWEVER, the complete unecessary emphasis on the outfit's protocols such as viewing women as property, labelling them 'dirty' after sex and the unecessary sexual, physical and domestic violence against them was just so off-putting. I understand the use of such things as a plot device or characterisation, but it was handled completely wrong. Disappointing to see such ideals perpetuated by a female author. Only gave 2 stars because enemies to lovers is my favourite trope (although the tension, characterisation and chemistry between the main couple was essentially non-existent and entirely forced). Don't think I can handle the next book...

I’m going to give it 3.75 ⭐️. It definitely was good that it was dual pov. Gianna was stubborn until the very end. She is a badass and does not take shit from anyone. Matteo was the only one who can stand her and be her match. She would not admit it but she loves Matteo. It was nice to see aria and Luca again. I loved how Luca was always trying to protect his brother and aria support Gianna decisions. I can’t wait to read the next one.
