I liked this book a lot it was very interesting and funny all while touching on serious topics. Probably the most entertaining autobiography or book I’ve read yet this year. It name dropped a lot and I mean a lot of famous ppl which just made it so hilarious and full of drama. His life is crazy and he goes through a lot of ups and downs but he paced the book well and I was never really bored even when he was talking abt classical piano or a football team he supported. He goes into such detail abt the ppl he meets and the clothes he wears. It’s also pretty funny that the pages have bigger text and as a result it’s like 568pgs just as a joke he has glasses when it’s 374pgs on here. I just realized there’s a biopic and I’m really excited to watch it but I think it more covers his earlier days.

Surprisingly human and humble, Elton is honest about his flaws and regrets, and doesn’t describe a single conflict without acknowledging his own role. Also laugh out loud funny, mostly thanks to celebrity cameos, hugely enhanced by Taron Egerton’s reading and amazing accents.

I’ve always been an Elton John fan, but I had no idea how much I would enjoy this book. He is hilarious and brutally honest. Finishing this book made me sad because I didn’t want it to end. An incredible book about an incredible man.

Like the previous reviewer, changing my review from 4 to 5 stars because I just can’t stop talking about this book. Refreshingly honest storytelling. I’ve gained respect for Elton John the person. He states he wrote this book for his sons so they would know his story was heartwarming! Read this before you watch Rocketman!
