The perfect book for amateur or avid gardeners, the story has a garden at it’s centre, surrounded by three women of different eras. Using a unique approach to storytelling, the author shares a love of gardening and the joys or heart aches of decisions made and actions taken  I could see the garden very clearly while reading and it certainly was a masterpiece.  Class distinctions were clear throughout the story.  Recommended and enjoy with a good cup of tea in a beautiful garden.

Loved this book. The story is centered around the same garden. Its inception in 1907, 1944 and 2021. Strong women in the storyline.

DID NOT FINISH

I "read" this for my book club, but by "read" I mean skimmed. Very dull. Too many characters that I didn't care about. This would not have been a book I would have chosen to read. Also, I'm not interested in gardening at all. I found the slight "mystery" to be derivative. Just not my cup of tea.

I started off enjoying this book - I love gardens and I love England. But the 3 plots got confusing especially since, depending on the POV, different names would be used for the same person Stella/Miss Adderton, Beth/Mrs Hastings, etc. The love plots were contrived and I still can’t figure out how the book title relates to the 3 plots.

Love the parallel narratives of Beatriz Williams. This one is 3 timeperiods, and 5 different people's stories. I was getting lost.

To me the story was -independent, talented gardener, interacts with one single guy and finds love. A formula.
