If you loved the CHRONOS Files trilogy, you will LOVE the start to the sequel trilogy. I read this book every minute I could and finished it within a week. It was just full of timey wimey goodness! Many times throughout I was doing the thing where the book is so exciting and you’re reading so fast because you want to know what happens that you cover the bottom of the page because you don’t want to glance down and see a spoiler! Usually that only happens for me at the climax of a book, not before I’m halfway through! By the end of the book I was Mind. Blown.

For a time travel book it does a terrible job with time and place. Only got 20% in when I quit.

This wasn't quite what I expected so it was disappointing. It was very slow, the alteration of history in the blurb doesn't happen until almost 40% of the way through the story. Lots of long info dumps that are a slog to read. I much preferred Madi's chapters to Tyson's, although I can't say that any of the characters were particularly appealing. I didn't realise that this book was a prequel series, but I did get the impression that I was missing a lot of background information about people and situations which would have made the book more enjoyable.

Thank you so much to Amazon, 47North, and JeanBookNerd for sending me a review copy of this book! All opinions are my own.

HI LOOK I FOUND ANOTHER ALTERNATE HISTORY (although I guess this one is more of an alternate future…) BOOK AND I LOVE IT!!! Even though this book is not about Kate Pierce-Keller (the protagonist of The CHRONOS Files), we do get several updates on how she spent her life, and I enjoyed seeing that. This is a really interesting book because it takes place in both the future and the past, and gives us a closer look at what happened to characters from the original trilogy, both before and after the events of 2015. I would definitely recommend reading (or re-reading, as I did!) The CHRONOS Files before reading this book, because I think that without the refresher, it would have been very confusing. Basically, I love this book, and I hope that you do too!

Brain scrambling. Best read in long stints rather than multiple short ones. Also take note of the dates at the start of the chapters.

Interesting story. It seemed like I was constantly missing things, and at the end I did see this is part of a different series, so was completely missing parts of the plot. It's very confusing that several of the female characters have variations on the same name. But this was an interesting story, lots of history.

This has many many reviews already. I don't think I can add anything helpful, so I'll just say that time travel fans will probably dig this one although it isn't as good as her other work. The author has quite the following.

Thanks very much for the review copy!!
