Still glad someone out there in the world thought that it needed a story about a isekaied himbo who turns into a shapeshifting himbo-carp-later-turned-koi so he can prevent a mute, gay prince from becoming a tyrant.
What to expect in this book:
-The himbo-dude-koi will attempt to cook for his prince, coming up with such high class receipes as smashed cucumber and eggplant that somehow has turned black after preparation.
-Palace intrigues all the way, baby! Some people try to curry favor with Prince Jing and the emperor.
-Our beloved himbo-carp finally turns into a koi.
-Prince Jing and his beloved himbo finally start dating. And thus go on dates and have many slice of life moments. Often joined by other characters!
-Prince Jing really wants to go to town to with his carp-boyfriend and seems dissapointed if it does not go that way.
-It's a really terrible bad idea to try and attempt to harm or insult Li Yu when Prince Jing is near. Seriously, this dude would probably burn the whole galaxy down if his beloved carp-boyfriend was hurt.
-Our beloved himbo Li Yu still does not realize that Prince Jing already knows of his secret.
-Wang Xi is still pretty chill about the amazing dissapearing boyfriend but does not question his master.
-If you like those fanfics in which the main leads have to look after each other when ill, look no further! There's some of those moments here.
-Prince Jing went all out with Li Yu's new ponds and tanks.
-I actually felt kind of sorry for Yan Chu with how he's treated, ouch.
-Nobody seems to question the fact that Jing apparently has a magical dick, because they sure seem convinced it's totally normal that he managed to get Li Yu, a dude, preganto. And thus Li Yu has to fake a pregnancy when traveling West with his prince.
Yes, I really need books 3 and 4 delivered to me immediately lol. These are really fun, wholesome, cute and surprinsingly deep at times. Though this one felt a bit darker with the way Chan Yu was treated and we see Jing's tyrant side towards other people shine for a bit.
