This is a great addition to the series. During the last 3 books I was hoping for a Carden POV so I am a bit biased on this.
There wasn't much new but I did enjoy how this felt like a bit more insight into his character development.

What an absolutely charming addition to the Folk of the Air trilogy. I wasn't too sure what to expect going in, as PoV shifts can be pretty hit-or-miss (and I had already read The Lost Sisters which I thought was a miss) but this was really lovely.
I'd been planning to read it digitally but ended up picking up a physical copy instead and I'm very glad I did, that's absolutely worth it. There are far more illustrations than I'd originally expected, almost every other page, and several of them spread across both pages which really doesn't translate very well onto an ereader.
Definitely worth picking up, though! I didn't think it was possible for me to come out loving Cardan any more than I already did, but here we are.

3.5★ alone for the fact that the baby cardan survived on cat milk. lol. that was a quick delightful read and i loved it. reminds me of those bedtime stories i’d read when i was a kid. cute pictures & cute cardan!
