I didn’t finish it and won’t be reccomending it .
However I recently read six of crows and I am struggling to believe they are by the same author .

3.5? Rounding up and rating based more on what the book and especially the ending made me feel, over my thoughts on certain bits of the content. I liked it a lot and the pacing worked well for me; I'm still not the biggest fan of Mal as a character, although he was much better in this book than the last two. Love Nikolai and Zoya and that makes me excited for King of Scars. This is the better book of the three in my opinion and made even better by my lowered expectations after the second had a bit of 'middle book syndrome'.
Going to have to re-read the Six of Crows books before starting KoS I think.

I really enjoyed this ending to Alina and the Darkling's story. I especially loved the "After" chapter. Getting to see the characters recovering from the conflict always improves the quality of the book, and Leigh did a great job of wrapping this story up.

For the trilogy, Good world building and deep characters. The protagonist was an annoying teenage girl at times but that’s fitting since she is one. The antagonist still a mystery, yet still intriguing. A good man to hate. I’m glad for reading these and will continue with the others in this universe.
