Bear wants to host a party, but his cupboards are empty. His friends unexpectedly arrive bearing dishes of food to share. Bear offers his thanks, but he is sad to have nothing to give to his visitors. His friends share their thanks, not for his empty cupboards, but for his marvelous stories he shares with everyone.

Bear Says Thanks is the newest book in the bear series. Wilson's books are so gentle and sweet that any reader will enjoy them. It is also easy to share ASL signs for bear and thank you when reading this story.

Love Karma Wilson!!! I was so bummed when she wasn't able to attend Mountains and Plains this year.

Another great story from Wilson and Chapman about Bear, his friends and this time about the importance of sharing and saying thank you. I enjoy the story but I think Chapman's illustrations are once again my favorite part of the book.

Greater sharing message perfect for Thanksgiving. This one is shorter than the series typically is, so it would work even better in storytime.
Though his friends tell him that his stories are enough of a contribution, I was waiting for someone to point out that bear is always hosting all these events after all.

On my list for a l.o.n.g time after people asked for suggestions for books around Thanksgiving.

A sweet story about sharing one's gifts, and how everyone has gifts to share, even if they don't realize it.

I love this series. I’m into the rhythm of it all, I think the friendship modeling is real sweet, and I like the illustrations. My kids are always happy to see me get them from the library.

Not as catchy as Bear Snores On or Bear Stays Up, but still fun and lovely. We love bear and my kids are 11, 9, 7. They still love these stories!
