I really liked the first book in the series; unfortunately, I can’t say the same for this book. The book felt like it had no momentum and the character development seemed counterintuitive to their buildup in the first book. I stopped reading the series after forcing myself to finish this. Sad day

Could not put this down and read it in a day. I am wrecked after that ending. I do not think Kuang can write a book that I will not devour (and be emotionally devastated by). I am terrified of how this trilogy will end

Really, really great. Not as dramatic as the first one buy still incredibly well done! Can’t wait to read the third and final book in the trilogy ugh idk if I will be ok after that.
