I’m so happy I started this book when I thought a reading slump was close!
I usually don’t like succubus stories. Don’t ask me why. I just haven’t read a good one yet so I’m trying to stay away from them. Obviously, I did not think there would be succubi in this story but they were the best written succubi I’ve ever read about.
The story itself was interesting, things happened fast and the characters were developed enough that I believed everything that happened.
I have to confess that I was able to guess a bigger plot twist pretty soon but it did not take away from my enjoyment of the book. It strangely added something new, trying to see if I was right. Which I knew I was of course haha.
I guess it will be hard for all parties to trust each other in the next book but they did not trust each other in this book so it will probably be fine.
I’ll start the next book tonight I think.

The steamy plot of this book had me interested! The writing however did let me down a bit. I found the plot was a bit rushed and wished more romantic or steamy moments while Rowan was pretending to be a succubus. I'll continue reading the series and hope it gets better but I wish it didn't seem so rushed and things were built up better.

I liked the writing, but I was a little bit blindsided by the whole "demons that get nourishment out of other peoples arousal". Feels more along the lines of minotaur smut than romantasy. To each their own, but it threw  me off throughout the story

The story felt a bit convoluted, but I just couldn't put it down.
