father fan fiction. i'm a huge fan of John le Carré, particularly his early Karla series. a huge fan, but not a purest. so this volume, by his son, which revives the characters and storyline of the Karla series, is fine with me. he's not his father, but that hardly matters cuz the story is good. reading le Carré's work first is a really good idea.
