I didn't realize this was based on a video game. I listened to it on audio and was initially surprised how short the book was, came here to find out it was a novella and sort of a video game supplement rather than a book itself. Eh, makes sense I guess.

It was a little confusing and all over the place, but I was hoping for it to make sense later, and now, knowing that it's from a video game, it does. Not a bad story in itself, and I like unfolding stories in interesting video games but I probably won't be continuing the book series.

I recommend reading summaries of what happens in the game online if you don't want to play the game itself. I think this was a very unique way to write with telling the story of what happens in between the games. It was another cool story that I was sucked into by Sanderson.

A good start to an intriguing protagonist. The character and journey has definitely roped me into wanting to know more.

My first Brandon Sanderson experience is an adaptation of a phone game and there’s something very funny about that.

I definitely plan on reading more. It was nice to test the water with a short novella before diving into his grander epic fantasy. I definitely was not disappointed with this but can only rate it so higher being such a short experience.

Needed a shorter audiobook to fill in time and have been recommended this author for a while.
I didnt realise this was based from a game nor that it was a novella.
It was a fine little listen. Easy enough to jump in without getting all the backstory. Had some small chuckles at their conversations about how silly English is as a language.
Was ok but not great.
