Thought this book was good and has a decent twist. Was not life altering in any way.

Another banger by Catriona Ward. I did have a bit of a hard time bouncing between the timeline. If you have any triggers, probably not the book for you. Mental illness disguised as religion disguised as abuse. Is there truly absolution?

Superbly weird and creepy. I love books where the setting is as much a character as the people and Altnaharra delivers. Even when you think you know what's happening, something shifts and changes and everything is worse than before.

Trigger warnings: child abuse, sexual assault, cult/brainwashing activity.

My second book by this author. I enjoyed it a lot more than The last house on needles street. A great Gothic tale.

Little Eve took me a minute to get into due to the writing style, but once I got used to it I was hooked. This is a gothic tale revolving around a cult, and is told from the perspective of Eve in 1917 and Dinah in 1921 after a major event in the cult. This story was twisty, dark, and left me guessing what would happen until the very end. The end has me shook, and I totally didn’t see it coming. Rating 4/5 due to the writing style, not totally my cup of tea but the story was

Every time I read another one of her books, it’s my new favorite. I could not put this down!
