I quite enjoyed this one, A LOT! My favorite part about it was the relationship that Lara Jean had with her fam. Her dad is awesome, and the sisterly bond between her, Kitty, and Margot made my heart melt. Lara did read a lot younger to me, based on her reactions and such, but I didn't mind so much because it felt like her. She was just a girl trying to balance being the older sister now that Margot's moved out and the feelings she has for two different guys. Josh, who is definitely cute but who I don't care for because PETER K. I didn't fall in love with him for a long time, but eventually, I did. And I loved watching the relationship between him and Lara Jean develop. So that ending made me a bit mad. BUT GOOD THING THERE'S A SEQUEL.

Rating: 3.5 Paw Prints!

I absolutely loved this book. (No surprise, really, because I've loved everything of Jenny Han's that I've read.)

This book reminds me of The Philadelphia Story, in that I spent a good chunk of the book rooting for Lara Jean to be with one guy before it became clear that something else was going on---and I was absolutely okay with that. It's a very hard thing to do and Jenny Han did it brilliantly.

I love everything about this book---the strong relationships that Lara Jean has with her family (especially her sisters) and the entire concept. (The thought of private stuff going public makes me cringe---especially like this. Can you imagine letters you wrote your crushes actually being sent to those crushes? It makes me want to cry.)

And I love Josh and Peter, the two central guys in Lara Jean's life.

This is a duology, which means that I get one more book of Lara Jean!

Highly recommended.

4/5 stars. Somehow this book mashed up basically everything that I hate about straight YA books (bad boy/good girl pairing, inexperienced girl/super experienced guy, internalized mysoginy, love triangles, people believing things that are obviously lies...) and somehow produced a book I enjoyed???? A lot????? How?????

😀😍😎😍

I enjoyed this a lot more than Burn for Burn. It was cute and sweet but still felt real. I didn't really have relationships in high school so it was kind of interesting to see that reflected in this story. Imagined relationships (not creepy ones) can be a big deal. I liked seeing that in the book. I also really liked Lara Jean's driving anxiety (not the actual anxiety but the depiction of it). I still suffer from it and never really see it addressed in books. I can't wait for the Netflix movie!

This was an adorable YA romance following Lara Jean, a middle sister who is going through the usual teen angst, with the additional problem of her secret love letters being mailed out. But it’s really about more than that — it’s about relationships between sisters, learning to trust yourself and to love the things that make you you. I picked it up because of the Netflix series, which I’m even more excited about now! I will say that it had some of the genre tropes that I’m usually not a huge fan of, but I didn’t care because I couldn’t stop reading!

Although the characters annoyed me a lot I just kept reading because I wanted to know what happened!

Such a cute book, excellent for times you just want to read something to feel good. I am going onto the next one in the trilogy right away. :)

There’s no other way to describe the feelings I had reading this other than: I’m soft 🥺

4.8 stars. Totally Loved This BOOK!!!!!!!!!! :)

Had to reread after watching the Netflix movie. The book is more dramatic than the movie, I wanted a little more drama and suspense in the movie. Lara Jean is so relatable.
