this was a great book! romance stories i just think aren’t for me, so it didn’t keep my interest and i had to push to finish it. however, if your someone who likes the romance this book would be for you! i love the combination of english and spanish throughout the book. as well as, the detail and diversity of character descriptions and backgrounds. this story was lighthearted, reflective for myself, and in some ways relateable!

Reading this after book 2 answered a few questions about the characters. Like book 2, the conflict and issues of the man are ridiculous but that's not really the point of the series

Absolutely adored this book. The style of writing was very unique as was the format of the book. All the characters were very loveable but I felt a strong connection to Jasmine, as she is of mixed descent (latina & asian) which is the same background I have. The book was also very inclusive & diverse, which I appreciated. The main characters definitely challenged each other, but watching them grow and love each other was really inspiring

I loved this book! My thoughts are so incoherent right now because Ashton and Jasmine both resonated so much with me and made me so emotional. Especially Ashton's anxiety and when Jasmine talks about just wanting to love and feel loved--ouch, I felt seen. But there were so many other things I loved about this book, like the peek in at the process of working with an intimacy director, adorable Yadiel, and the very clear love for telenovelas and Puerto Rican culture. I also really enjoyed the way the author handled the acting sections. I wish there could have been more about the other members of the cast, as some of them just felt like names listed on a page instead of real people, but overall I thoroughly enjoyed this book and will definitely read more by this author!

Here is my review of You Had Me at Hola. I really enjoyed this book it had great representation that I resonated with. As someone who is of Latinx heritage but can not speak Spanish. Also, there is a good representation for mental health I can not say that I am an expert on the issues the author choose to single out but I think it was not shown in a negative light. Also as this is a romance it definitely had plenty of spicy scenes. They were all very respectful and super hot. Also, there is plenty of teasing of us I felt like where the author had to hold them apart. I loved and hated it in the best way. I defiantly recommend it for good Latinx representation but also a good romance that is healthy.

This was a very fun book to read, I appreciated the growth both characters had at the end of the book, it’s a nice celebrity romance with a few details I didn’t expect but was pleasantly surprised by.

Also, I ADORE the Latinx representation this book had.

It is, indeed, a very 18+ book, so check the cw.
