It‘s not a bad book, I just don‘t really care about the characters. The commentary is the only thing that made me finish it and I won‘t read the other books.

Even having watched the series multiple times, I still enjoyed this book immensely. There was actually very little that didn’t make it into the series. But of course in the series there are some changes in who was present, and how it built up the wider story.
I do love the additional context and stories you get from reading the books for any show or movie. And this is no different. In fact, I can’t wait to see what else I learn in the rest of the books.
Somewhat obsessed.

The plot in this book is quite disjointed because you have a bunch of short stories which have the sole purpose of introducing us to Geralt and what he does. This lack of a linear storyline and the vague plot did make it not the most captivating read. I think I was only able to continue reading because I am a fan of the show and I know that the last wish acts as a sort of setup for the main plot, hence why I decided on a meh 3 star rating.
