Wonderful to see a mature hero with real life values and problems. Kelsey is a mom, a new business owner and a human trying to navigate a world filled with hyper natural beings like vampires, lycans and fairies. She doesn't always do that well. She stumbles, but she keeps going and I cheered for her. This first book from the Tales from the Unmasqued World Series opened with great world-building. Val Tobin created several memorable characters and I can't wait to read their continuing stories.
