This was an attempt from a StoryGraph out of my comfort zone category. I was bored by the rich people's problems after a few chapters.

An heiress to a hotel company, Nina Gregory is hoping that she has longer to figure out her life before her father dies of cancer and she is forced to take over the company. Her life seems perfect, she is dating her best friend, Tim, and she is enjoying work as a speechwriter on a campaign for the next NYC mayor. However, as her father gets sicker, he alludes to some secrets that she may find when she reviews information about the company. Her attraction to her boss, Rafael, the mayoral candidate grows stronger, and she starts to have doubts about her relationship with Tim.
This is a contemporary romance with dilemmas about life and choices. I enjoyed it, but the opulence of Nina's life was a bit much to handle. Of course, most everything in Nina's life was wrapped up nicely at the end of the book, a bit too perfectly.

What and amazing book, of making hard decisions and learning to put your own happiness ahead of what society expects of you.

I really enjoyed this book. I think the ending was satisfying but there could have been a little more to it. I loved reading it as a buddy read.
