I actually really enjoyed this book. The last 70 pages or so are soooooo good I struggled to put it down.

Ugh. I read it, but these are awful people all around. There's no redeeming character, including the kids, in the entire book. For a book with such a premise, at least our protagonists should be gleefully evil or scary. Instead we get sad sack blah.
Oh well, like I said, I read it.

Woah. Just, woah. More like 4.5 stars. The ending is what bumped it up from a 4.

3.5 stars rounded up. A disturbing domestic drama about a married couple's twisted fetish for murdering women. There was nothing particularly shocking in terms of twists, but the overall story was evil and gruesome. The narrator, who is never named, and his wife are so utterly unlikable that there is no one to root for.

Creepy, sick and twisted but I couldn’t stop listening to it to find out what was going to happen next. Pretty much hated all the characters but I don’t think you were supposed to like them anyway.

Loved the last line of the book. This really made me think about the number of insane people acting completely normal in their day to day.
