I had so much fun with this. The banter between Lark and Lachlan was just so good. This book was witty and I laughed out loud a lot. Their relationship was sweet and the tension!!!!! Also the b-plot was pretty interesting and I liked that it gave the two of them things to do together. I found some of the Abe chapters a little cringe lol but overall the rest of the book made up for those moments.
ALSO ERIC NOLAN. I chose to listen to this bc dual narration and bc of him and it did not disappoint. Definitely doing this as audio pushed my rating up

Liked this better than B&B. Really liked the characters and thought they were a lot of fun together. I wish there was more suspense.

I didn't like this as much as the first book. I didn't find it funny tbh (the first book had me laughing out loud). But I do love me a marriage of convenience trope. I also didn't find it as spicy as the first book. I do like a slow burn, but I think maybe because the overall plot in this didn't keep my attention as much I was a little bored? The epilogue being one of the few smutty scenes we get just felt a little too late, also imo the switch was a little out of left field but to each their own.
