This is kind of dark romance but it's definitely on the lighter side of dark. It is angsty and steamy and was a fun read. I loved the cat and mouse aspect for the most part but at some point it did get a bit tedious. The steamy scenes were great!
The blurb for this book says "Modern-day Gilded Age romance" and I didn't get that vibe at all but maybe that's just me.
Overall this was a fun read with a bit of bullying, stalking and a frenemies to lovers trope.
If you have read and liked Rina Kent's Legacy of Gods series, but wanted something similar only a bit lighter, this book will work.
