I would gladly read this to a group of precocious children in little sweet suits and the like.

Read this with my kids. Love the illustrations and story line. Waaaaaay different than the musical. But to be expected lol!

This was completely unlike the movie. I don’t know what I just read. I think it was a fever dream.

i will pull up to the theatre to see wicked part 2 in the golden cap and silver slippers as illustrated

This is one of those quintessential children's novels that deserve their long literary lives. It was utterly charming in a way that I'm sure many young kids love. This being said, I am not a young kid. I can acknowledge a book has genuine merit to other readers while not loving it myself. I didn't hate it, but it's simply not for me at this time in my life.

Also, a few more decapitations than I was expecting...

Read this book so many times as a child, and loved it every time.
