Overall this was a very good collection, and I'm thrilled that it was released as an audiobook.

I think [a:Diana Gabaldon|3617|Diana Gabaldon|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1213918339p2/3617.jpg] and I have very different tastes in short stories, though, because there are a few things included where I've read the collection they came from and didn't think they were the best in that collection. Not a complaint, just interesting.

Overall a fun read. I'm much more into science fiction than fantasy and started reading this without fully grasping the title and didn't realize it would be half fantasy, but I still enjoyed it. Some of the stories, specifically one with a certain aquatic creature, are "wtf?"-worthy, but the sci-fi is all tons of fun and I enjoyed most of the fantasy too.

Read about half, not super interested, so back to the library it goes.

"Bookstore at the End of America" and "The Time Invariance of Snow" were both five star works, I loved them. Otherwise, there were many stories (sci-fi especially) that felt repetitive of other included works. The stories themselves were well done.

As with all anthologies, some entries were amazing, some were ok, and one or two were boring. I love that I got introduced to so many authors and sci-fi publications previously unknown to me.
